The Northwest Louisiana affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is pleased to announce that the September 19th Race for the Cure® was our most successful and well attended race event in the affiliate’s 15 year history. 5,783 registered participants came out to raise money and awareness in our community. Their efforts paid off well and the affiliate has brought in over $241,000 to be utilized to provide breast health education, screening and treatment services to the medically underserved in our 10 parish Region.

We could not have achieved the tremendous success of the 2009 Race for the Cure without the vital funding from our national and local sponsors. Each and every race sponsor and contributor is crucial to achieving our worthy mission!
